Hosting

Our secure web servers are fully configured to accommodate websites of any size and type from small brochure sites to global brand and e-commerce platforms. All of our connections are Gigabit above the server level and the three multimillion pound data centres we use are connected via high-speed fibre links. Each node can exist independently and still provide connectivity for all in the unlikely event that a connection is severed. We also only use the best switches and routers for reliability and use multiple bandwidth providers for outstanding redundancy. All of our hosting services come with complete support and are fully scalable allowing us to support all your hosting requirements as your online business goes from strength to strength.

Our Approach

As with all of our services, regardless of the project requirements, we have developed specific processes and procedures to guarantee every development brief we undertake is completed on time, on budget and to the client’s complete satisfaction. Our technical development services are no exception and every project, regardless of size and scope, are approached as follows:

1. Requirement Study

Prior to undertaking any development project a clear understanding of the requirements of the brief are essential. Whilst this is a major aspect of any service brief carefully consideration of exact functionality, is critical for development projects due to the complex technical nature of the work.

2. Research and Planning

Once the requirements of the brief are understood and agreed by both parties research is undertaken to ensure our complete understanding of both internal and external variables and other influencing factors. Areas for consideration include technical competencies of end-user, accessibility and scaleability. Following our research a detailed plan of action is compiled and presented to the client before moving to the next stage.

3. Functional Prototyping

In order to best service the client’s requirements and based on prior research, functional prototyping and usability testing is undertaken prior to full application development. Depending on the nature of the project, this may also involve developing and testing a semi-functional section of the application to assess the most suitable coding language or platform in relation to the project requirements.

4. Development

Once all groundwork and a full assessment of all requirements and technical considerations has been carried out, we then move on to the full application development stage. Every development project is developed from the ground up in conjunction (depending on the nature of the brief) with our marketing team to ensure the application is presented clearly and consistently as well as being technically sound and secure.

5. Testing

Upon completion of the development stage thorough testing of every aspect of the application is undertaken. Depending on results revisiting any one or a combination of the previous four stages may be required, but assuming comprehensive research and planning has been undertaken this is rarely required (contingencies are always built into the budget and timescales at our end to allow for this if required).

6. Support

Again, subject to the nature of the project, full support in terms of staff training and documentation is provided prior to launch of any project where the client's input is required.

7. Maintenance

Our involvement does not end once the project has gone live and we offer various maintenance packages to our clients to allow for ongoing support and further development to allow for the inevitable advances in technology and digital media over time.
